“We LOVED having Caryl at our shop for our very successful 'Meet the Oceans' event. Caryl was so engaging with the children from the start, emerging from the back under a giant jellyfish! The children were captivated, and had the best time learning the jellyfish song, listening to the story and making jellyfish. Caryl brought so much fun and energy to the session, and everyone said afterwards just how much they enjoyed it.”

“Caryl is a delight to work with, her sessions are engaging and thought provoking. She brings so much knowledge and experience and the children are clearly in awe of her books and her career. We particularly loved the activities that Caryl planned alongside her virtual sessions with us, encouraging children to think of the little things they are thankful for.” - Rosie Whittle, Group Manager, Hillingdon Libraries
What's on offer?
Events are usually centred around a specific book and may include an introduction to the author and the topic, interactive story time, meet the characters, a song with ukulele accompaniment, questions & answers and/or a craft activity.
Virtual or In-person
I have lots of experience running events both face-to-face and virtually over platforms such as zoom teams or facebook live. Face to face events are great for interaction and virtual events can attract audiences who are unable to attend in person.
