Briony and I have worked hard to ensure that our characters have a wide range of skin tones, body shapes and hair types. We have carefully updated the balance and roles of characters of different genders to help show that everyone is welcome to the ballet!
You will also find that the language we use reflects today’s values of respect, empathy and consensual relationships, without losing the traditional feel of these well-loved tales. We hope that our work has brought these wonderful stories up to date and helped to make them accessible and inspirational to everyone!
